Current moment, Google and Microsoft are both courting Yahoo. Google will not attempt a merger to the fears of anti trust against it. Microsoft having been rebuffed by Yahoo, but is again on the table exploring for other possible alliances other than a take over. Simple reason is it feared a Yahoo-Google alliance should it push Yahoo too much into proxy wars.
Is it a time to buy Yahoo? I would think that the current development is extremely favorable to Yahoo, you could try to buy on weakness.
